Terms & Conditions — Electrical Services Agreement

We will give you a written estimate before commencing requested work. All work complies with current regulations at the time it is done and you will receive a certificate confirming compliance.

Certificates cover only work undertaken by Daddy Electrician Ltd and are voided if interfered with, altered or adjusted by any third party. Where we adapt existing circuits, we assume existing wiring was installed correctly and is in adequate condition before we commence.

You must ensure information provided to us is accurate and complete. Reply to our quote to accept terms and the quoted price. Provide full access to the consumer unit and all areas required for the work.

If using a pre-paid meter, ensure sufficient credit for testing. Inform us before work starts if any areas cannot have electricity switched off. Acceptance of our quote constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

We issue fixed prices where possible; estimates may change if unforeseen issues arise — you will be advised before additional work proceeds. Quotes cover only agreed scope; additions incur extra cost.

Payments are subject to VAT and due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Stage payments apply on extended projects typically every 3 days. 48 hours notice required to change or cancel agreed start dates or a £100 charge applies.

We accept cash and bank transfer — not cheques. Failure to pay may result in debt recovery with additional fees and interest.

We do not remove furniture blocking access. We are not responsible for losses while items are unplugged. Waste removal is not included unless agreed.

We are responsible only for quoted electrical work, not wall damage from chasing — making good can be quoted separately. Client-supplied fittings must be on site at commencement. Goods supplied by us remain our property until paid in full.

We offer a 12-month guarantee on our workmanship, void if interfered with by third parties or through misuse. Guarantee applies only to materials supplied and installed by us, excluding normal wear and tear and consumables such as bulbs and fuses.

Damage to our electrical work by other trades on site is the client's responsibility to rectify at additional cost.

We may terminate this contract if you fail to comply with obligations within seven days of notification. Immediate termination applies in insolvency events.

On termination we may remove equipment from site. You remain liable for unpaid sums, work completed to date and any breaches of this contract.
