Air-Conditioning Rotary Isolator Switch Installation in East Sheen

About this project

Daddy Electrician Ltd recently completed a dedicated electrical supply and rotary isolator switch installation for a new air-conditioning unit at a residential property in East Sheen, South West London. The customer required a safe, discreet and reliable electrical supply for their external air-conditioning condenser. As the installation needed to remain neat and avoid unnecessary surface cabling inside the property, careful planning was required to determine the best cable route. Neat Under-Floor Cable Installation To achieve a clean finish, our electrician carefully ran the new supply cable underneath the floorboards before bringing it through to the outside of the property. This allowed us to provide power to the air-conditioning unit while keeping visible cabling to a minimum and protecting the internal appearance of the home. The cable route was installed securely and thoughtfully, taking care around the existing building structure and services. Once outside, the supply was brought to the air-conditioning condenser location and terminated into a suitable rotary isolator switch. This approach created a much neater result than running a surface cable internally and ensured the new air-conditioning supply was positioned exactly where it was needed. Rotary Isolator Switch for Air-Conditioning Supply We installed a dedicated rotary isolator switch adjacent to the outdoor air-conditioning unit. This provides a clearly identifiable local point of isolation, allowing the air-conditioning system to be safely switched off before servicing, maintenance or repair work is carried out. A local isolator is an important part of a fixed air-conditioning installation. It gives air-conditioning engineers safe access to isolate the equipment without having to return to the main consumer unit inside the property. The work included: 📍Planning a discreet cable route beneath the floorboards 📍Installing a dedicated electrical supply to the outside of the property 📍Fitting a suitable rotary isolator switch beside the air-conditioning condenser 📍Securing and protecting the external cable installation 📍Testing the supply and connections on completion 📍Leaving the area neat and ready for the air-conditioning installer A Dog-Friendly Electrical Service 🦮🦮🦮 This East Sheen home also had a very friendly four-legged supervisor who kept a close eye on the project from start to finish. We understand that work in your home can be disruptive for pets as well as people, so our team always aims to work respectfully, keep the work area tidy and make the visit as stress-free as possible.
